Ponce Inlet Arts and Craft Show... Part1

Here is Part 1 of the Ponce Inlet Arts and Crafts Show... I feel like each booth/person that made an impact on me or the boys should have their own post :)

So, first will just be the pictures of all the awesome vendors...

Walking up

I loved this guys carvings... there was a turtle that I really should have bought :)

More vendors...

There were quite a few vendors selling

This was really one of the few pictures I got inside... the kids were awake by this time, lol

The lady from the above pic... her husband is an author... and I thought it was awesome that his cards were covers of the books... Ill have to find them and get some pics

And this is my favorite pic for the day... It is a knitting granny doll... of course I didnt buy it, just because I dont have any girls... but she was super cool :)

Hope to have time to get another post tomorrow... each of the next posts are going to be separate crafters and artists... I am going to have so much fun getting to see all the pics again :)

Til tomorrow, Ann

Snyder Spindles

About three weeks ago I answered an "ad" on Facebook for one who was looking to trade some spinning fiber for a spindle... And much to my surprise, Scott Snyder of Snyder's Spindles responded to me :)

Two weeks ago, we talked about which spindle I wanted, and what fiber he would like... let me tell you, there were just too many choices for me to just pick one... So, after going back and forth with him, we cam upon an agreement of two spindles, and I would purchase another one... It was a great decision!

I received the spindles before I ever finished Scott's rolags, and let me tell you, I was extremely pleased with what I received...

First, the original spindle that I picked out... I honestly do not even remember what kinds of wood it is made from, but I loved that there were three colors on the whorl... it was bigger than I originally thought, but it pulls lace weight all day :)

Here she is :)

Bottom view

I love this pic...

The second one... is a "baby" Turkish spindle... I just had to have a mini spindle... it is super light weight, so the spin isn't very long, but the more you get wound on there, that little guy will go! I keep this one in my bag at all times, because you never know when you are going to need to spin :)

Don't you just love it?

Sitting on its arms :)

Cross bars...

I'm not sure why, but this pic just makes me smile :)

The third one is a little bigger... still a Turkish, just a smidge larger... I love the color contrast with the two different woods, it is super pretty and I enjoy spinning it...

Gorgeous :)

Taking a nap, lol...

Sitting on his arms :)

Each piece layed out

Love it!

And for those of you that are curious about what I sent to Scott... here you go :)

Tidal Pool Roving

Tutti Fruitti Rolags - He said he wanted something bright... and this is what I came up with :)

Extra bits... Suri Locks, Tatted Art Yarn Add Ins, and two Phat Fiber samples

Also wanted to make sure you got to see a couple shots of "spindle porn"... here they are in action...

Look at that yarn...

Here's the tiny :)

I think this is my favorite picture of all of them :)

Finally wanting to Dye!

Since the Fiber In, I have had no desire to dye anything... Every time I have thought about it, I make us some excuse why I just dont have time to do it... Sad, I know :(

Last night, a package came from my friend Val... Inside the box... 11 colors of dye :) I just couldn't let them sit there, they deserved to be tested out, right?

I actually stayed up til well past midnight, just so that I could play with the dyes... Here is what came out of my "no sleep" time, lol.

230 Yards (each) of Superwash Merino... I am in love :)

Pink and Orange

Blue and Avocado

Purple and Bronze (which is actually sort of a green color)

I was extremely pleased with how each one turned out... I will soon have a scarf pattern finished that will come along with each skein purchase... I am working out the kinks at night after work :)

And of course there has to still be something sitting on the stove...

Bronze and Chocolate Brown... I looks Camo to me...

Who knows what tonight holds :)

PSC Fall Fest 2013

October 19th from 9am to 3pm - Located at Polk State College in Winter Haven, FL...

Fall Fest is a pretty large arts and crafts fair that is held by the college every year... I think we they are going on 22 or 23 years...

I (Twin Mommy Creations) will be vending at the event :) I am the space in the grass next to booth #111 (I think they ran out of spaces and I just got lucky)... From looking at the map, it looks like there are almost 170 tables...

I hope that if you are local and not too busy, you will come on down and check it out :)
